Mark Kitching opened SMK Sports as a running specialist shop in 1989 from a small shop in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshre. The shop is still in Cleckheaton but has moved to larger premises.

We have over 35 years experience in Club athletics and Mark has enjoyed spells with Spenborough & District A.C, Bingley Harriers, Birmingham University and Walthamstow A.C.

We are a small friendly family business that aims to provide runners with specialist products at affordable prices. Our approach is for runners to get the right product for them - take as long as you like to try on shoes so that you get exactly what you want.We always welcome anyone calling in for a chat or just collecting a race entry form.

We try to support local clubs and events and we have a mobile shop that attends races in Yorkshire. You can see links to local clubs for information on events and training sessions on our links page.
